Why a sound meditation?
Sound meditation is a practice used for centuries for physical healing, clarity of mind and deep meditation.
Sally harnesses the soothing sounds and vibrations of Tibetan singing bowls which produce trance like sounds that can alter your brainwaves, shifting them into a more relaxed alpha and theta state helping you calm your thoughts and feel totally present in the moment.
It is an easier alternative for those who find meditation or ‘switching off’ challenging. For the practice, all you have to do is lay down, close your eyes and focus single-pointedly on the transcendental sounds played to you live in our guided session.
Meditation physically changes the structure of your brain in ways that bring about healthier feelings, thoughts and behaviours. Those who meditate 10-30 minutes a day, are able to stay noticeably calmer in stressful and difficult situations.
By creating space for change, you welcome more happiness and all of the beautiful emotional states that our physical, spiritual and mental body desire.
After over a decade of working within fast-paced, multinational corporate environments, Sally Kellett found that those surrounding her are stretching their mental capacity and strength to the point of neglecting their own physical, emotional and mental health.
Whilst on her own journey of well-being, Sally found the benefits of meditation to be foundational to her own development and stability, though based on her experience acknowledges that it’s challenging for anyone to begin their own spiritual journey.
Sally explains that sound meditation is something that can be extremely beneficial when practiced in the right environment. She also believes that meditation is nothing to be overwhelmed with and that each have their own journey.
Those experiencing considerable stress, anxiety or a desire to invite a sense of calm in their life turn to Sally and her guided experiences.
Preparation for your sound meditation
|Wear comfortable clothes, you'll be seated in an armchair or lying on one of our two treatment beds.|
|Please arrive at least 5 minutes prior to the start time as doors will strictly close at the commencement time.|
|The sound meditation session will be one hour long with time for tea and discussion at the end.|
|After your deep relaxation experience, it is best to have a quiet and easy night to prolong your relaxed state.|
Seats are strictly limited per session.

Getting Here & Parking
ACU FITZ is located at 47 Rose St, Fitzroy VIC 3065
You'll find us directly across the road from Rose St Pantry, which is located next door to the Rose Street Artists' Market.
We are just a short walk from the Nicholson St (96) and Brunswick St (11) tram stops.
There is free 2 hour on-street parking on Rose St, Fitzroy St and Spring St 7 am to 7 pm. Parking is free and un-timed after 7 pm. The nearest paid car park is The Rose Car Park located just a few doors down at 75 Rose St.
